We help families and individuals living in the area from Burleigh Heads, inland to Tallebudgera and down to Coolangatta. However some of our services, such as Financial Counselling and the Psychologist Services are available to all areas.
OUR MISSION STATEMENT
Palm Beach Neighbourhood Centre is a non-profit organisation. We are a multi-purpose, community based facility which provides services in response to the social, cultural, educational and welfare needs of the Southern Gold Coast. Our aim is to improve the quality of life of the community as a whole; in particular, its more vulnerable members.

Expressions of Interest- Palm Beach Neighbourhood Centre Management Committee 

 

Palm Beach Neighbourhood Centre Inc (PBNC) is a not-for-profit, community based organisation with the primary activities of providing Family Counselling, Financial Counselling and Community Development.

 

Palm Beach Neighbourhood Centre Inc (PBNC) is multi-purpose, community-based facility which provides services in response to the social, cultural and educational and welfare needs of the Southern gold Coast in order to improve the quality of life of the community as a whole and in particular, its more vulnerable members.

 

PBNC are seeking Expressions of Interest from community members to become part of PBNC’s Management Committee. Interested persons should have at least 3 of the following attributes

 

·         Be a strategic thinker

·         Have sound Financial literacy and capabilities (particularly if seeking role as Treasurer)

·         Business Experience/ HR Experience

·         Previous Management Committee Experience

·         Experience in a non-profit organisation

·         Person with an understanding government reporting/funding mechanisms.

The management Committee works in parallel with staff to secure a strong future for the service.

 

It is expected that candidates are team players who are prepared to commit fully and thoughtfully to their roles as Directors to the organisation. Additional to the professional specialities outlined above is a sense of social mission and a philosophy of social justice. Persons from marginal backgrounds are also encouraged to apply.

 

This is a voluntary role though some training maybe provided as part of the role.

 

Essentially this is a fantastic opportunity to play an integral role in the operation and growth of a vital community organisation, which directly and positively impacts upon the lives of the socially, emotionally and financially vulnerable on the southern end of the coast.
