This year the SCIM working party, Southern Interagency Group (SCIG) in conjunction with the Gold Coast City Council hosted the very first ‘Family and Community Expo South’ (FACES). FACES provided an opportunity for both government and non government organisations to showcase their services and generate awareness within the southern coast community. The event was held at Tugan Village Community Centre and was praised as fun filled and family friendly day with lots of children’s activities and live entertainment. Due to its success, SCIG plan to run the event again each year.
